Bakrieland’s Property-Related Infrastructure Business Unit concentrates on the development of infrastructure projects associated with property, such as the construction of toll roads and integrated water management systems (both clean water and purified water).
The company’s main activities are to provide clean water supply and to improve services, including the distribution, processing and managing of water supply in the eastern part of Jakarta. Aetra draws from un-distilled water sourced from the Jatiluhur Reservoir managed by state-owned Jasa Tirta II (PJT II), channeled to Jakarta through the West Tarum (Kali Malang) open canal. Clean water supply for customers conforms to drinking water quality standards and produced at the three Water Processing Installations at Buaran I, Buaran II, and Pulo Gadung. For clean water distribution to all customers, Aetra relies on its Cilincing Distribution Center and 4 (four) booster pumps located at Pasar Rebo, Sumur Batu, Sungai Bambu and Tugu.
Bakrieland is currently the only property company in Indonesia that integrates its business with infrastructure development. Bakrieland also implements an integrated CSR program for its infrastructure projects to ensure that surrounding communities draw benefits from the project’s presence.
